Designer Skin 14 Karat Gold Rush was developed to help experienced tanners breakthrough their tanning plateau. If you’re an experienced tanner like me, at some point you’ve noticed that your tan, no matter how many times you tan will level off and you won’t get much darker or darker at all. This lotion was made for people like us who want more color even after achieving a great dark tan.
I had read good and bad reviews about this product but I have to try something for myself so I can make my own decision. You can’t always believe everything you hear and read so, try it for yourself. I’m a fan of Designer Skin products so I couldn’t quite believe there were as many bad reviews as there were.
I purchased 14 Karat Gold Rush online because my salon didn’t carry it at the time. The cashier at the salon had tried it before and she had amazing things to say about it. This product goes on smooth, absorbs pretty well, and didn’t leave a heavy or sticky feeling. My skin felt smooth and hydrated after the lotion was applied. The scent was pretty good when applied and not overpowering. The scent sticks around after you tan and although not a strong astringent smell, it didn’t smell as great afterward as when it was first applied but it wasn’t a bad smell. It comes in a really pretty 13. Oz gold/brown bottle that is unique.
I have been tanning for many, many years and have tried a huge amount of lotions. I’ve been able to achieve a fairly good tan but at some point and time, it seemed I could not get any darker. I noticed a big difference in color after using14 Karat Gold Rush after the first session. There was no streaking that I noticed either. I have not found any other lotion that has given been able to provide me with me a darker tan than this one and I mean dark! Definitely one of my favorite lotions right now!
I don’t know why there were negative reviews about this product unless they didn’t get the original product which sometimes happens when you purchase a fake. I can say that I have not found another lotion that has taken my tan to a new level like this one.
I can’t stress enough to purchase this product from an online retailer that you trust to get the authentic product. You can also purchase from a good tanning salon but it will be much more expensive.
I highly recommend this product if you’ve hit a tanning plateau. It works as expected and gives you an awesome looking tan with great looking skin.
